Shawn recorded Cedarwood with Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam, Pete Droge and Lonnie Marshall during a 3-day stint at Litho. The music was a departure from anything he’d done before, but like all of his other styles, was a perfectly natural fit.
I once heard a sculptor say that his statues already exist and his talent was just the ability to find it inside the stone. This music was always inside of Shawn and the band, like a beautiful piece of Cedar waiting to be carved.
